WHO defines mental health as " A state of well-being in which every individual realises his or her potential, can cope with the normal stress of life, can work productively and fruitfully, and can make a contribution to her or his community. If you are facing issues mentally, it is beneficial to talk about it with others. Many people are reluctant to share their problems which will only increase the problems or difficulties they are facing. Sharing your problems with others is not a sign of weakness, in fact, it is a good step forward into attaining mental wellness as you know you are facing issues mentally and are ready to improve or work on it. Characteristics Of A Person Who Has Achieved Intellectual Wellness1. They are confident about themselves 2. They do not get drawn by emotions such as anger, jealousy or any other feelings. 3. Their relationship lasts long and is satisfying. 4. They get comfortable with strangers faster than other people. 5. They can laugh at themselves because they respect themselves. 6. They can accept disappointment and have the will power to overcome them. 7. They are capable of making their own decisions. 8. They can adapt to their environmental changes. Increasing Your Intellectual WellnessRead: Pick up a book of any genre you like and start reading, read books besides the books you are made to read at school or work-related books. Pick up a book of your choice whether it is related to your hobbies or skills that you want to learn. Write: Take a diary or a journal and write anything you feel like, your thoughts or stories that you have been thinking of. This is not only an excellent exercise for your brain but also an excellent outlet to release your frustrations and anxieties. Play Strategy or Mind Stressing games: there are a lot of strategy games that keep coming on phones, if you Aren't into gaming on phones, you can also play board games. Games like Sudoku or Chess are good Brain Stressors. Play A Musical instrument: When Playing music, you learn how to create sounds and make patterns. Music has always helped in relieving stress and activating stimulants in the brain that makes you feel good. Learn how to play an instrument of your choice; it can be beneficial. Talk: Talking is counted as a brain exercise, Discuss or debate on topics with your friends or family members. Be Open minded and listen to their point of views, remember that you learn more when you listen to others than when you are talking. Learn A Foreign Language: When Learning another language, your mind expands. This not only helps you gain new knowledge but also helps in broadening the information you have already learnt.
