People affected by Anxiety believe that they are experiencing a physical illness or will be facing an illness in the future. A person facing health anxiety may fixate on any type of illness, and believe that any minor symptom may lead to a severe disease. For example, if a person experiencing health anxiety feels their chest is getting tight, they may believe that they are having a heart attack. Keep A Book Journal with you and noting down every time you check your body, ask doctors for reassurance or look at health information online and try to reduce these numbers. Challenge your thoughts when you feel a little worried about an illness that you believe you have. For example; when you believe you have a stomach ache because of a serious illness, think that you might have a stomach ache because of the food you ate the previous night. Keep yourself busy and occupied so that you don’t have time to think about your illness. Behave Normally, do everything that you would have done if you believed you were fine physically and mentally.
